House Calls

Can’t make it to the clinic with your sick or nervous pet? Have a pet that’s too big or challenging to transport? Our house call service may be just the solution you need!

There are many situations in which bringing your furry family member to the vet simply isn’t possible. Perhaps your pet is too sick to make the trip. Or, maybe your companion experiences such intense vet-visit anxiety that bringing him or her in is just too stressful for you both. Perhaps you have so many pets that scheduling and managing multiple appointments is too much to handle. Or, maybe it’s just that you’re simply too busy to find the time.

Whatever the reason, at Cedar Veterinary Clinic, we believe your companion deserves the same quality care as all of our other patients. That’s why we offer house calls as part of our comprehensive animal health care services.

Our clients and their animal companions benefit from house call services in a variety of ways. Pet owners can enjoy the convenience and time savings of not having to transport their companions from their homes to the veterinary clinic. Animals enjoy the benefit of receiving high quality, one on one veterinary care in a setting where they feel most at ease. Multi-pet homes also benefit because it eliminates the need to transport several animals, either separately or at the same time. With a house call, all of the pets within the home can be seen in one convenient appointment.

House calls are available for annual visits, including physical exams and vaccinations, as well as sick calls and more. Additionally, diagnostic testing, such as blood work or urinalysis, can be gathered during the appointment and brought back to our in-house laboratory for further analysis.

At Cedar Veterinary Clinic, we believe you shouldn’t have to sacrifice quality veterinary care when a trip to the clinic isn’t possible. Let us bring our services to you and help keep all your animal friends happy and healthy. Call us today to discuss whether house calls would be a good option for you.

Heather is absolutely fantastic! My lab (Hope) was very sick with a uterine infection which was killing her this past winter. Hope's 8 years old (considered too old by some to risk operating on). However, Heather immediately recommended operating to save Hope's life. There was NO hesitation and she took care of Hope that very day! Heather and staff stayed late that evening to look after Hope's needs. Knowing how worried I was about my girl, Heather contacted me to let me know how Hope was doing. My pup has since recovered and is like a new dog - rejuvenated, happy and healthy! I can't say enough good about the skill, dedication and compassion of this clinic and all their staff! Thank you for your hard work and determination!

Dr. Heather Johnson and her team were fantastic. I’m a veterinarian practicing in Oregon, and I have high standards regarding quality care. I was very impressed with Dr. Johnson’s knowledge and compassion; as well as her beautiful hospital, and experienced team. I highly recommend them.
